✨ Our Little Guests – FAQ

For Parents

  • We welcome children ages 6 months through 10 years old. Activities are planned by age group so every child feels included and safe.

  • We provide supervised play, age appropriate crafts, stories, games, and allergy friendly snacks. Parents must provide dinner, bottles, or special food labeled with the child’s name.

  • Yes — please bring diapers, wipes, bottles, comfort items, and a labeled dinner/meal if your child will be with us through mealtime. We’ll provide toys, games, and craft supplies.

  • We don’t provide formal nap or sleep services (no cribs or cots). If a child becomes tired, we’ll provide a calm activity space with books or quiet play until they’re ready to rejoin. If a child falls asleep on their own, we’ll keep them in a safe, supervised spot and notify the parent if needed. Parents are welcome to step in briefly for comfort breaks.

  • We know new settings can feel overwhelming, and our sitters are trained to comfort and redirect children with patience and care. If your child becomes upset, we’ll work with them for up to 15 minutes using gentle calming strategies and activities.

If after that time they’re still distressed, we’ll notify you so you can check in or decide whether to take a short break together. You’re always welcome to bring your child back once they’re ready. Please note that full payment still applies regardless of how long your child stays.

  • Safety is our top priority, and we use a secure multi step process:

    • At drop off, each child receives a sticker with their name and event details.

    • Parents/guardians are assigned a unique PIN code at check in.

    • A government photo ID will be required at pickup to match the authorized adult listed.

    • Children will only be released to adults who provide both the correct PIN and a matching ID.

  • Yes. All sitters pass background checks and are CPR/First Aid certified (or in the process). Our business carries liability insurance, and we’re happy to provide proof to venues.

  • We’ve found that children adjust best when they can settle into activities with our sitters and other kids. For safety and consistency, the childcare space is a drop off only environment — this helps all children feel comfortable and keeps the room secure.

If you need to step in briefly for breastfeeding, medical needs, or a quick comfort break, you’re welcome to do so. Afterward, we ask that parents return to the event so kids can engage fully and confidently with our sitters.

  • Every child is unique, and we want to understand your child’s needs in advance so we can plan accordingly. On the registration form, you’ll be able to share details about allergies, medical conditions, or extra support your child may need.

We’ll make every effort to accommodate within a group childcare setting. For more complex needs that require one on one care or medical oversight, we may not be able to safely provide care unless special arrangements are made in advance.

  • Safety is our top priority!

For Couples / Hosts

  • We staff based on your guest count and the ages of children attending. Our ratios are lower than industry standard to ensure quality care.

  • Our standard childcare package includes 4 hours of service. This timeframe works best for most weddings and events.

If you’d like care for a longer period, we’re happy to provide extended hours upon request. Please note that childcare past 9:00pm may involve an additional fee, as younger children often need more support later in the evening.

    • Full Coverage – Couple pays one flat fee covering all children.

    • Hosted Portal – Couple pays a smaller fee, and parents register/pay individually.

    • Large Event Coverage – For galas, conferences, and corporate events with higher child counts.

  • We staff carefully based on the number of children registered in advance to make sure ratios are safe.

    • If fewer children attend than expected, staffing remains as scheduled and the original cost still applies.

    • If more children arrive without being registered, we cannot add additional sitters at the last minute. Care will only be provided for the number of children we are safely staffed to handle. In this case, an additional fee may be invoiced to cover the extra children if care is possible.

For the best experience and safety of all kids, it’s important that every child is registered ahead of time.

  • Yes! We provide age appropriate toys, games, and craft supplies to keep kids engaged. We also bring allergy-friendly snacks.

If you’d like children to enjoy a full meal during the event, we can coordinate this for an additional fee, or parents may provide their own labeled meals for their child.

  • Yes. Infants require a lower child to sitter ratio, which means additional staffing may be needed. For events with multiple infants, a small additional fee will apply to ensure every child receives proper care and attention.

    • 14+ days before event: Full refund.

    • 7–13 days before: 50% refund.

    • <7 days or no-show: No refund.
If we must cancel, you receive a full refund.

  • Yes, we can supply COI documentation upon request.

For Sitters

  • We’ll contact you based on the availability you share with us. Our goal is to provide a schedule in advance so you can plan ahead, but sometimes couples or venues reach out last minute. In those cases, we may ask if you’re available to step in for an event. You’ll always have the choice to say yes or no, but flexibility is a big plus!

  • Sitters are paid hourly, with rates above casual babysitting jobs. Pay is processed after each event. Details will be shared during the interview process.

  • Yes. Every sitter receives onboarding, a walkthrough of our standards, and access to team meetings where your feedback helps shape our service.

  • We keep ratios intentionally low so kids get the care they need and sitters aren’t overwhelmed. Ratios are adjusted based on ages and number of infants.

  • You’ll supervise children, lead games and crafts, help with snacks, and ensure safety. It’s a team role where you’re both caring for kids and helping families enjoy their special day.

  • Yes. All sitters must be CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to complete certification before their first event).

  • Yes, reliable transportation is required since events take place at different venues in Colorado Springs, Denver, and surrounding areas.

  • That’s okay! Availability is flexible — you’ll let us know your general schedule, and we’ll match you to events that fit.
